...they happen to be ones in which Wit gets a ton of shares, or they're perceived as dogs that nobody wants. And my guess is that neither scenario is likely on these two IPOs.

Despite the fact that you can continue to place a Conditional Offer with Wit right up to the minute that the issue prices, to have a realistic shot at getting an allocation you have to put the offer in during the "window" that opens up on the first day. The window usually runs from late afternoon to midnight on the day the IPO is first posted, and a lottery is held among everyone who put in an offer during the window. Preference is given to non-flippers.

There have been exceptions, like WITC and BNBN, in which people got shares with late offers. But the only reason that happened was because Wit had a huge number of shares to allocate. I doubt that will be the case with either ARTG or INIT. As to where to find information on any particular IPO, my best suggestion is to just back up several days on this thread and start reading. You'll come across all kinds of interesting conversation and tidbits about that.
