Hello Randy, ATY typically reports on Thursdays before the bell around 8:30am. As marc pointed out, it should be this Thursday. They usually post the date on their website in advance also. Cheers!!!

Home Theater on Your PC

You don't have to work at Circuit City to tell a PC from a home entertainment system. But with ATI's new All-in-Wonder 128 card inside your computer, even a superstore Sales Rep of the Month might have trouble distinguishing which is which.

Plug a TV antenna or coaxial cable into the All-in-Wonder card, and your PC becomes a superpowered TV. Zoom in on any live television image by dragging your cursor over it; record television shows as AVI, MPEG, or MPEG-2 files; and monitor a program's closed-captioned text.
There's even an Instant Replay button that lets you review live video immediately after you see it on TV.

You can also plug a video camera or VCR into the All-in-Wonder's breakout box and grab video footage and still shots with ease. The included MGI VideoWave II software lets you edit this footage
into homegrown movies.

The All-in-Wonder's hardware DVD support offers smooth playback. And of course, the Rage 128 graphics chip is nice when you're playing fast-paced 3D games.

One downside to the All-in-Wonder: We weren't able to receive premium channels such as HBO without a cable box. Aside from this drawback, the All-in-Wonder is a solid product that brings full-blown video to your PC.

ATI All-in-Wonder 128

Rating: Four Stars
Verdict: A full-blown PC gaming and video-editing card.
Pros: Captures MPEG video; loaded with features.
Cons: Can't get premium stations without a cable box.
