Bob, I presently have no "insight" into the testing plans. But, drawing from my own experience, I would be very surprised if they run any "conventional" DST's. They may look at running a bottomhole DST (with packer set in the casing) at some point (Eg. when at TD) but I wouldn't even bet on that. My best bet is no DST's at all. Just drill to TD (or first problem). Run logs. Case it. Then complete and test through casing.

The main objectives of a "test" are to determine if commercial rates are possible and if the reserves are limited in extent. In this particular case, however, methinks the zone was tested before the well was drilled. <gg> We don't really "need" a test this go around. The very highest priority of this well has to be to find out how much gas saturated column there is in that expected 2,000 foot gross pay interval. I doubt that they will want to risk losing the well over a DST.
