Oh Michelle, you have to read the article! Schultz has more money than I, duh, so I am reluctant to use any inflammatory terms which might require litigation. Your summary is a good one. It isn't really much more than attempting to create a portal to sell their accessories. I can hardy write this I am laughing so hard! They have soo many outlets that there is simply no point doing this,(ha ha ha ha, giggle, giggle),if you want their stuff so bad, they have got a store down on the corner, grin. This is such a far cry from amzn,(fall off chair again), because it is kind of a pain to get to the book store, and for that matter, going anywhere to buy non-perishable items like office supplies, what have you. I do a fair amount of shopping on line, books, travel, videos and reviewing things at ebay. The Starbucks thing is just silly.

I did laugh at Yahoo's initial valuations, so the fact that I think this idea is ridiculous may be good for Starbucks. Just my opinion.

OT OT... now you have got my attention. What is starbuck's net strategy? Whats the big
deal, just sell coffee beans and a few accessories over the net. There is not much else you
can do. Besides the web grocers also have starbucks beans available. For that matter
theres a bunch of specialty sites like Salon that also sell their own boutique version of
coffee beans that are pretty good too.

BarnesnadNobles.com sell Starbuck coffee in bean form or ground.
