Actually, she's much more closely a Marylander than she is a New Yorker, as unless I'm mistaken, D.C. was originally carved out of Maryland, and she's been living in D.C. for the past 7 years. I guess she's from Arkansas, but she can also claim to be from Illinois where she grew up. I don't think these same criticisms would be brought up if she decided to run in Illinois.
