Musicmaker.com -- starts trading tomorrow. Stock was placed tonight at 14. Of interest is PTET owns 800,000 shares of Musicmaker (HITS)
and will not be selling any stock on the IPO.
Bought some today for a backdoor play.
Best
Tom

Bosco & all,
I hope you are all out of PWAV (if you have been in there). However I'd give their competitors a look. The market is pretty much divided between:

PWAV, RFMD, AHAA, SPCT, AMLJ, AMPD

While PWAV, RFMD, AHAA are way too expensive to get in, I would regard SPCT & AMLJ as interesting plays in the wireless power amp segment. Both feature a PRice to sales ratio below 2. Both are finally making inroads into high margin segment biz: MCPA (Multichannel Power Amplifier - in high demand for GSM, TDMA, CDMA)

Tiny AMPD might have an edge in a niche: wireless internet. Their design features a patented "pre-distortion" tech, this might improve bandwidth. However don't expect anything from the current quarter and probably the next in this regard. Right now they are not booking anything but demonstration & prototype orders.

My advice: right now - wait for the tech turmoil to subsede. Then, I'd argue to load up on SPCT and also on AMLJ

best regards & happy investing
