Allen, it may be possible to do a partial restore, but the manual
says it will work only on a Compaq PC. And I can just buy the program
in question for about 25 bucks at auction. I think I will. The
Compaq restore CD is buggy, as is the Presario architecture and
I won't call CPQ support any more. They talked me through 'solutions'
over the phone twice. Both times the PC crashed so I had to 'restore'. No more Compaq for me. The cooling fans are very quiet, though. :)
