Thanks for your parody of the nigh invincibly ignorant. 1) There were no recession "years". There was a mild dip during and after the Gulf War, the economy had resumed its growth 18 months before Clinton fooled the stupid 43% and lied his way into office. The "Great Boom" started in 1982 and endures to this day, despite the worst efforts of Clinton and cronies. Clinton's only mark on economic history was the retrospectively needless 1993 tax increase, which, according to the way you misuse figures, was the largest tax increase in US history. 2) >>Perhaps it was the biggest deficit in the history of the US that Reagan pulled off. [Much like he did as Gov of California]... The deficits during the Reagan years were smaller in real terms than those piled up under Franklin Deficit Roosevelt. Contrary to your erroneous (redundant) assertions, Reagan left the biggest surplus in California history up to his time, and it was his predecessor, Dem "Pat" Brown who had left the largest deficit in their history. I believe that figures show that Reagan never had a deficit during his governorship - CA governorship is far more powerful office than the US executive is vis a vis the legislature. 3) It is well documented that Clinton and cronies fought the balanced budget and it was imposed by the Republican Congress following the 1994 elections and the resurgent Perot threat. Like Welfare Reform, Clinton only signed on as integral for his campaign to fool the US public; and it worked once again with the ignorant plurality who re-elected him in 1996. 4) >>Reagan poured more money at Defense than the Pentagon knew what to do with and the Bush Administration paid the price; I dealt with the budget people at the Pentagon, they made up programs that were a waste and they knew it. How much debt did Reagan ring up? The Reagan Peace Dividend is the payoff, Clueless One. And that will pay off the 1980's deficits many times over. As for the hardware, Clinton and cronies have happily spent all those excessive bombs on their phony war, the most recent diversion from the endless scandalabra known as the Clinton "Administration". Except for scandal and the lowering of public mores, and those are big exceptions, Clinton is an inconsequential liar-president who did nothing other than get caught with his pants down and survive in office as our supreme demagogue. Clinton made the White House his house, the "Home of the 24hr Whopper". People have had it with Clinton/Bore and that's why Bush enjoys a 25% lead. People may not know what they want, but they are certain they don't want a reprise of the last 8 years of government by lie and corruption.
