There are 41.6MM shares of ALSC. Taiwan transaction adds about $500MM to book at todays prices. Prior book per yahoo was $4.62 I believe.

So before allowing for deferred taxes you are looking at a new book of around $17 (500/41.6 + 4.62)without taking into account Broadcom shares. This of course does not take into account value of new products and upturn in industry.

Now I wonder if the company could distribute the UMCC shares to ALSC stockholders on a tax free basis after the lockout expires?
