VLDC news out over the weekend. Bad timing, but decent numbers for the first 3 weeks of operations. Mortgages on the net - I wish these were available last fall, maybe I would have done that refinancing I was thinking of but never got around to. Virtuallender.com, Inc.'s sub prime division began operations on June 10, 1999. During that three week period, $7.9 million in first mortgage sub prime loans were underwritten in the company's operations center located in San Mateo. First month production included loans from Washington and California. "I am very pleased with our initial results," said Russ Boyd, Virtuallender.com, Inc., Director of Sub Prime Lending. "We intend to expand our service area and commitment to the mortgage broker community by adding account executives in Washington and Utah this month. Our plan is to provide nationwide sub prime lending through a combination of growth and acquisition." According to Carol Pizzo, Virtuallender.com, Inc. President/CEO, the Company plans on bringing its first pool of loans to market in July. She further commented that subsequent pools will include retail loans originated through thewebsite.
