THAT is incredible! I have been on that route many times. There is NOTHING along large stretches. Almost ran out of gas once because I was too stupid to stop when I had the chance ("Oh, that's too much to pay, I still have 1/8 tank, I'll go to the next station"). Where there many people pulled over because they ran out?? Also, many breakdowns? The cars today are so much better than even 10 years ago...

For the first time in my life I have a sunburn on top of my head, right through my hair. No, my hair is not that thin!

Anyone know whether API are coming out Tuesday or Wednesday?

Did anyone experience brownouts who don't normally have them??

The electricity power situation that existed earlier today has eased to the point where normal usage of electricity can be resumed. However, due to the expected record-breaking electricity demand tomorrow, a Power Warning has been issued, effective Tuesday, July 6th, beginning at 5:00 a.m.

FROM ANOTHER WARNING FROM VIRGINIA POWER...

The three-day holiday weekend ends Tuesday, however, and
demand is projected to rise to 15,686 mw. The record peak demand from
Virginia Power's 2 million customers is 15,399 mw set on July 22, 1998.
