In March, Acampora outlined an upbeat long-term
picture for the Dow, predicting 14,000 to 15,000 by
the end of 2000 and 20,000 to 30,000 ten years from
today.

20,000 is 6.0% compounded from today and 30,000 is 10.4% from today. Not really too wild considering we've done much better than that (~18%) since this bull began in '82. However, probably a lot less than all the boomers are assuming in their retirement forecasts!
