Margin Selling should be over today if you use the T3+2 free days to cover from the 24 1/2 low. thestreet.com has an article on the scam that goes with short selling and margin.(one of Cramer's articles) I know a number of brokers who will try and "sneak" by a call, by just ignoring the calls and depending on appreciation to cover the call, which will not work. This situation will get a margin clerk pretty riled up. The clerk may even allow a good faith call of $100 with the appreciation covering the rest. Again, this clerk will remember you next time and sell for you. I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend, fun or otherwise. My wife tricked me into putting a retaining wall in our front yard. FUN! NOT! But it is done. The sickest thing about going to Home Depot to buy the stuff this weekend, there was a parking lot full of other dopes doing the same thing.
