If the attack was unsound from an economic point of view others would jump in to take the other side of the trade and Soros would eventually lose.

I totally agree. That is exactly the game played by HKMA. I wonder how much they made from that trade.

However, there is a human side to these high stake gambling games. While these games are played everyday in the US markets with very little impact to the daily lives of its citizens, the people of Thailand, Indonesia are suffering severe daily consequences, including hunger.

BHP has already announced production cutbacks, ditto Phelps Dodge, and today Asarco followed suit.

p.s. the contract high on this badboy is 94 cents. A position that was well underwater a year ago now has new life.
