RE: John, where have you been the last couple decades? Do you ever hear about baseball, football or basketball moms?

I'm not saying there is no interest. There is obviously "some interest". Soccer just has not taken off, (in thr USA), like some have predicted. It just does not command the same viewership as say football. Which implies big bucks.

In the USA, League soccer for children is a good sport for smaller kids. Once a boy goes into his teenage years he becomes well aware that the strongest/biggest/best athletes go into football/basketball/baseball. The also rans go into soccer.

We may not like this development but it is a fact.

It's also true of volleyball. I really enjoy the game but it's considered a girls sport. And again the best athletes (boys) tend to avoid it for the more "macho" sports.
