Excellent reply but the response left out a key part of the equation, IMO. The relatively steady drop in interest rates over the last 5 years has made the stock market more attractive and one could say this trend justifies "some" of the increased valuation when evaluating the "meager earnings growth". During the same 5 year period, the US market has continued to solidify it's position as the #1 market in the world.

Random thoughts: How long will it last? Perception vs. Reality? Trailing value (actual performance) vs. future expectation? Smooth sailing vs. unexpected market catalyst?
