As a father, I have frankly always been very deeply disturbed by the thought of extinguishing a healthy child in the womb. I have also never bought the 9 months of inconvenience argument. If my wife were to tell me that she was unexpectedly pregnant, even though I do not want further children (I've got my hands full with the ones I have!), I would have far more than 9 nine months of "inconvenience" raising that child, and all that goes with it--but abortion would not be an option for a second. As for teenagers who recklessly get pregnant, there may be 9 months of inconvenience, and that could be followed by a lawful adoption of the child if there was no other viable choice. I know lots of families willing to raise up kids of all races.

By the way, I believe I have the right to hold these opinions even though I am not a woman, and have never been a pregnant teenager.

I would not want to have an abortion. And I would not want my daughter to have an abortion, as I believe there are many more civilized methods of birth-control. But my understanding of the word "Choice" is that it means you can do something, or not do something, of your own free will and without being forced in either direction. I don't believe that "Freedom of choice" implies that anyone is going to be forced to have an abortion. And, as far as recklessness is concerned, it takes two.
