Jean, some of what I'm looking for: 1) Ability to handle complicated transactions without requiring more than two phone calls of explanations. 2) Comprehensive monthly and year end Account Statements that afford my tax filing exercises to be a simple matter of copying and attaching these statements to my returns. 3) Decent commissions, though they do not need to be the cheapest as I realize I need some service. 4) Ability to write checks on the Investment Account. 5) Ability to take the Account on Margin when I feel the mood overtakes me. 6) Any other reasonable service that an ecucated investor may require from time to time. I know my needs seem extensive, but they certainly do not warrant a 1% fee based on the size of my holdings. Again, thanks in advance. Teflon
