Legal abortion creates the zeitgeist in the culture that life has no value, no matter what you or I have done in the past. That is your opinion Charles! To me it has no relevance whatsoever. I think that spin was created by the right in order to stir up more support for their pro-life cause. They are trying to link abortion with something people are afraid of, crime in the streets. There is no cause and effect of course but they just keep parroting their diatribe and eventually people like you start to believe it. If you are so concerned about the sanctity of human life, I suggest you go on a crusade to get semi-automatic weapons off the streets. We KNOW those don't exist for any other reason than to kill people. Oh wait, can't do that.... the NRA is a republican campaign contributor. And besides removing guns from society doesn't do anything to get us back to that white-bread 50s ideal that the old guys in the republican party hold so dear (when men were men...). Nah better stick with the abortion issue, its more "in the zone". an abortion was performed without her assent or knowledge. You don't approve of the state behaving in that manner do you? Funny you should bring that up. Of course we know that would never happen today, right..... ummmm, wait. Theres that case of the Berkeley student, about 4 years ago, arrested in Ohio on a credit card fraud charge.... petitioned the court for medical leave to have a legal abortion - denied by the right-wing judge, even though her male counterparts got off scot-free! Her case was stalled and stalled, until she couldn't legally have an abortion in Ohio. You don't approve of the state behaving in that manner do you?.... in the 1990s??
