There's no question that women suffer much more from domestic violence than men. I was just surprised that the incidence of male victims was as high as it was. I knew there was some, but the number did surprise me. As to why DV is far lower as a percent of crimes suffered for men than women, far more males are in the drug trade, where a lot of violent crime occurs, far more males are in prison, where a lot of violence occurs, and more are in high-risk jobs such as night clerks in convenience stores and liquor stores. Society still puts more men in high risk jobs than women.
