Cook says - "Since January, more than 150 consultants or other non-employees have worked on these projects. "

As a software developer/project manager who has struggled through many large software projects, I find it incredulous that ZixCharge and ZixMail was architected, designed, developed and tested in only 6 months. Sure, you can speed things up a little by throwing more bodies but putting together a bunch of 150 consultants and letting them hack away for 6 months will give you just that ... a hack.

The effort/time put in seems more in line with a systems integration job ... not in designing from scratch and bringing to market a core piece of technology. I have serious doubts about the quality and reliability of their software as it stands right now.
