Sorry I didn't include the SI board in this earlier. I don't often check this board anymore. If you want to suggest a change or give me your e-mail address to be cc'd on the letter, post it on the go.com or Yahoo Pixar board, or e-mail me at jimillo@hotmail.com.

Latest Draft of Pixar IR letter

I'm planning to send this letter tommorrow. I'm not sure about including question #8, because every company responds to such questions with "We don't comment on our stock's price".

Dear Bryn and the Pixar IR staff,

There is a group of Pixar shareholders who regularly communicate with each other on various internet bulletin boards (Yahoo, Go.com, RagingBull, Silicon Investor, etc.). Many of us will be attending the annual meeting on July 27th, and we have several questions we would like to have answered. I assume that many of these questions will be addressed in Steve Jobs' presentation at the annual meeting. However, I wanted to do you the courtesy of sending you these questions in advance to let you know what may be asked if Pixar's presentaton doesn't cover the topics below.

QUESTIONS:

1. What other projects is Pixar working on beyond feature animation?

2. There have been rumors regarding a "Buzz Lightyear" TV show. Is such a show in the works, and would Pixar receive any revenues from a spin-off TV show under the current Disney contract?

3. As far back as 1996 Ed Catmull was quoted as saying that Pixar was working on a sequel to "A Bug's Life". What is the status of this project, is there an expected release date, and is it expected to go direct-to-video?

4. In last quarter's conference call Steve Jobs mentioned Playstation-type games and the internet as possible future revenue sources. Could you elaborate?

5. Will the original "Toy Story" be released on DVD, and if so, when?

6. Since Pixar's earnings are almost totally dependent upon Disney's accounting, does Pixar have a method to independently confirm the earnings associated with Pixar's products?

7. This quarter's earnings were $XX per share, but the earnings and the expectations are based on Disney's accounting, not on anything Pixar has done for the last three months. If Disney gave us more this quarter, does that mean less next quarter?

8. For the last several months the short interest in Pixar's stock has been very high (over 40% of the float), keeping the stock price low. Is Pixar aware of the shareholder concerns regarding short interest and are they looking into the matter or referring it to the SEC?

If you would like to respond to any of this letter via e-mail, could you please "Reply to All" so that we will all see your response?
Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

Jim Illo
