AFAIK, individuals can't actually bring RICO actions, can they? I was under the impression that only DA types could do that. It's a tough call; RICO gives you lots of wonderful options, but then you have to meet the tighter requirements of a criminal case. The civil action has less bite, but it is also somewhat easier to bring "tangential" matters into the case. Plus you might get one of those lottery-dispensing juries...

Tough call. If I had to make a choice, I'd say find an ambitious young DA and go the RICO route. It worked for Guliani. :-)

WLD I personally am not prepared to file a suit

Well then who is??? All y'all keep talking about legal proceedings...are all of you just blowing smoke? Come on, if you're going to make a threat, at least make it credible. You've got maybe-DaveD worked right up to a lather, and now nothing??? The poor guy is sitting at the other end of the internet popping blood vessels from the excitement, and now...nada? At least send him some nitro for his heart.

Unless *you* were actually serious but...nah, you're a bigger man than that. :-)

I am so disappointed. Not surprised, mind you, but certainly disappointed.
