NP says Ballard shares get boost on Yamaha news Ballard Power Systems Inc BLD Shares issued 83,768,812 Jul 6 close $49.80 Wed 7 Jul 99 In the News The National Post reports in its Wednesday edition that shareholders of Ballard Power Systems Inc. gave the stock a boost Tuesday after the company, based in Burnaby, B.C., said its has secured a $365,000 contract from Japan's Yamaha Motor Co. to supply Ballard fuel cells, related equipment and support services. Ballard said it expects this initial order will form the basis of a long-term relationship.
