I realize it is not a technological response, however, just look at what has happened to great technology which had terrible service/marketing support. As a matter of fact, I am using my PC today v. an older Apple (this analogy kind of shoots a hole in the Gilder model, doesn't it?). Oh, well. Maybe those wings on horses might look a little bigger to me than he envisioned.
