The tank is 60 inches long, 18 wide, and.... 20-something tall. Maybe 24. 100 gallon acrylic that I got a good deal on.

My brother-in-law Tom was advising me on ways to quake-stabilize the tank. He's got some engineering expertise, thinks I ought to anchor the stand to some studs in the wall. I'm wondering if that wouldn't result in the accelerating 800+ mass of the tank ripping the wall out... probably not, as the braces would pull loose first. I ought to ask Tom what they installed at San Onofre to dampen quakes. He worked for Bechtel when they did some repairs there.

The Big Lebowski is great. And there's more than a few of those Jesus's wandering around down here. Hell, there's more than few 'Dudes' wandering around, I work with a guy just like that.
