Sarkie,

<<On the other hand, if Yahoo had it, it would only take 5 minutes to read a weeks worth of posts. <gg> >>

I believe that would be the very useful "Ignore Thread" option. <vbg>

That "ignore" feature was debated hot and heavy when we first discussed the changes we would like to see. The general consensus was 'not' to include it.

I think the ability to "ignore this person" is an extremely valuable feature, and I for one would like to know why it was decided not to include it. Its presence won't hurt anyone who chooses not to use it but could improve the SI experience of those who do, for whatever reason they choose to ignore some posters.

A person could be ignored because he is constantly posting crap (so called thread morons) or because he is always posting technical analysis when the user is interested only in fundamental analysis.

I'd like to see an SI which allows each user to maximize their experience in whatever way they choose, so long as it has only a limited effect on others (the presence of an ignore button, for example). The more you extend the customization options, the better.
