Re: Small E=P's
I don't disagree that there are fine solid companies in the sub-sector. And I think good points have been made about their strong potential vis-a-vis the larger drillers etc. I like some of the companies you mention.

But I do also believe that there is much more of a potential for hidden risks here, and that the potential for manipulation and deceit is greater. Liquidity also an issue for some of us.

Of course you are right that there is risk with larger companies as well. Risk is everywhere, and we must each choose which stocks have the best risk/reward balance. And that choice is greatly influenced by one's personal style.

For the reasons I mentioned, I am cooler to the small E+Ps that you.
"Not My Style" as Casey said in 'Casey at the Bat.'<G>
But I have No objection to others buying them. <G>

It seemed to me that some posts here were making assumptions about these small E+Ps that needed to be questioned. For example---

Slider, you wrote: <<<"My entire point is that both the fundamentals and the risk vs. reward factors for this sector so vastly exceeds the OSX right here, right now - that this is entirelly a ''safe'' fundamentally supported move...">>>

---Phrases like that always rise an eyebrow for me.
The risks of the small E+Ps should be recognized, imho.

I wish all who are buying the small E+Ps well.
Just wanted to mention that 'Harry's Exploration and Production' is Not just a more nimble Exxon.
It's different.
'Harry's' might do real well. I hope it does.
Just not my style.
