IMHO, the big question is whether all the bad news is out yet?

Here's somewhat of a positive from Bloomburg.

New Era told analysts on a conference call that several of its sales slipped into the next quarter and that it incurred costs in anticipation of the sales. ''They noted the company hired more than 400 people during the quarter, so that contributes obviously,'' said John McPeake, a Prudential Securities analyst who has a ''strong buy'' rating for New Era. McPeake forecast $32 million in second-quarter revenue.

Hopefully, the sales slipped, and were not actually lost.
