Linden, re. timing the BB delisting plays, yes, if this is a good strategy, the safest time to short would be a day before the delisting. You can check a real-time Edgar service to see if they have filed a form 10, and then short.

For the last round of delistings, the two stock prices I was following did nothing interesting at all the day before the delisting, and the companies filed nothing. Clearly nobody was paying attention. If that situation persists, there's no reason to short earlier.

Remember, though, that as of right now I don't know whether this is a good strategy. We've only been through one round of these so far, and I haven't yet bothered to try to get quotes on the two stocks that I was following from the previous round.
