Man, what a crappy, strange couple of days for CRM. I'm buckling-up for a choppy ride for the next few weeks. If SEBL dips back into the 40s, I'm jumping-in for more. There's lots of noise, rumors, bad analysis and speculation around SEBL right now. None of this has changed Sebl's top-dog status.

Oh sure they've been replaced in a number of cases, but that's not always their fault. Vntv replaced Sebl at a number of Cisco sites....but that's old news that didn't benefit Vntv at all and sure didn't hurt Sebl much. They didn't win the business at AT&T and Delta, two huge deals that one would expect them to win. I remember when SAP was replaced at hyper-visible Dell a few years ago and that didn't hurt them much either. In fact Dell seems to have benefited by staying away from SAP, while Compaq was bragging about how their SAP implementation would allow them to dominate. What a laugh.

However, Sebl is really pushing their salesforce hard and when that happens there's usually more customer casualties. It's the type of business model that often features hyper-growth followed by an ugly blow-up at some point in the future....but I still think that's a ways off for Sebl and I'm going to add some more on these pullbacks..
