Regarding subsequent pages... Steve, I would not even venture to guess at the size of the document, or how much time it took to create. Imagine this modern conference room with a large oval walnut table, around which 14 or so dedicated AOL employees sitting in hi-back leather chairs, discussing the issues at hand. "OK, today we will continue our discussion on farting, transvestites, homosexuality and defacation." AOL practices censorship on a large scale. The reason, IMO for this is not because they feel they hold the moral high ground. It's not because they think they know better than you what is good for you. It's because, IMO, they believe that practicing censorship is profitable. They , IMO, believe that it's what the majority of their customers want. They want to position themselves as a family oriented site, IMO. To a huge number of people out in the real world, the Internet is a disgusting wasteland, full of rude, cruel, nasty people, child pornographers, and photos of people having sex with dogs. They go to AOL because it's a kinder, gentler face for the Internet. They go there because AOL will keep them safe and clean. Now, if there are people who truly want that, that's their prerogative. If someone chooses to use a censoring ISP, or to install censor-ware on their own machine to keep the Internet phantom away, I have no problem with that. I just thought it was very funny, thats all! I would hope that this is the last of the AOL bashing, I apologize for adding fuel to the fire. To each his own. Now I will sign off and join my favorite chatroom "Hot Tubs and Leather Lingerie".
