I asked the IBM board if they ever heard IBM talking about making plays into china and this was one response...

They buy at a discount from IBM, have a "franchise" within which to resell, and make a profit on the spread. Having this relationship also broadens their offerings and makes them more of a "full service" ISP which assists in closing deals with the Chinese governments. So it is not going to hurt at all but it may be more of a long term issue not some immediate catalyst.<<<
