OTOT re:"I'm not very familiar with astrology either" Yet you just bashed it. How very typical. This post is not directed at you in particular, Mr. Devils' Advocate, for you did respond with an open attitude, but to all that have an "Astrology? snicker, snicker" attitude.

To quote C.G.Jung, "Astrology is assured recognition from psychology, without further restriction, because astrology represents the summation of all psychological knowledge of antiquity." Have you heard of him? Maybe he knew something.....

How about Isaac Newton, remember him? He wanted to study mathematics at Cambridge so that he could properly test Astrology. Apparently he was chided by Mr. Haley for believing such a superstition and replied, "It is evident that you have not looked into astrology; I have".

Quoting Goethe,
"He who would study organic existence
First drives out the soul with rigid persistence;
Then the parts in his hand he may hold and class,
But the spiritual link is lost, alas!"

I think that accurately describes our society today, as well as the first two decades of my life, groomed to be an engineer.

And lastly to quote and translate Horace, "Much will rise again that has long been buried, and much become submerged which is held in honor today".

Those that speak loudly, insist they are right, or are in the majority, are usually wrong.

Now, I must get back to cheering on the value of my material wealth and be all the poorer for choosing that activity:) Er,,,,, Go DELL!

Glen (who just blew the dust off his astrology books looking for these quotes)
