Hi investors. Has anyone heard anything on Wells Fargo buying Hibernia Savings Bank? My buddy works on Wall Street for Fidelity, he said the floor is waiting on a buyout offer. This could happen anyday. He said HIB should go off at around $24 Take a look at this.

7/13/99 3:45 pm... CONTINUE TO BUY HIBERNIA CORP. (HIB 15-1/16)... Posts Q2 EPS of $0.29 vs. $0.27, in line... Core operations on track, with net interest income up 6% and noninterest income up 13%.. Loans grew 15%.. Efficiency improving... Louisiana bank expanded further in southeast Texas with 5/21 purchase of Chase's Beaumont operations... BUY..HIB for long-term growth potential and strong possibility of a takeover bid soon... Valuation modest at 2.0 times book value, 12X our 2000 EPS est. $1.30. Takeover target price $24 WP.Price & Co. Wall Street NY.
