it's not rose, who has no credibility whatsoever. SEBL is expensive and is cranked tight due to management concerns.

heck, on the vntv and neon blow up, they're taking a lot of high flyers down. i object to your giving rose so much credit.

actually, he made the right kinds of accusations: accounting tricks, increasing dso's, cash flow, etc etc. those are the things to spook people with howard as the cfo.

Name for me a software company growing around 100% annually that throws off cash every quarter?

I think that the company will have a few surprises in store for ben and the shorts when they report.

I wish clarify would go down some more, i can't believe it's hanging in there so well in such a rotten software market. low volume though, no one's paying attention.

Amsterdam,

Do you think today's movement was in reference to the downgrade by AH? I think the price swing was more of the Vantive effect. People who invest in the space but do not necessarily understand the space sell Siebel on bad quarterly results by Vantive, thinking the same could or will happen to Siebel. When in reality Siebel is one of the reasons for the poor execution of Vantive.

You can blame the Vantive management all you want but if they were selling licenses you wouldn't have to play with bottomline results.

...I guess since Shege is gone I'm filling in as the gadfly...

Rumors of my demise are greatly exaggerated. Some of us have to work for a living, you know. Unlike you millionaire investment types.

Interesting discussion. I'll post when I have some time.

Will you be gracing us with your presence on the FSTW thread?
