Greenspan is making a big issue in these new banking laws being pushed through congress....He wants the Fed to retain the oversight abilities. The Financial Institutions want the congressional bodies and their paid off cronies to peak through the key hole. What's it going to be like when your insurance company is buried in some banks back room, who just got bought by a regional banking giant, which just got bought by Merrill Lynch.... Thank You for that description. I've actually called up my insurer and have been assured they use no leverage and only purchase government bonds. I also belong to the only AAA rated Small bank in the entire New England area...very difficult to find. Chip
