I find today's selling hard to fathom in the light of the information provided by the article which was next to nothing. However, the article was ingeniously written and seems to have had the effect that it was calculated to have.

Some suggest it was written to support a short position. Others suggest it was written in order to get a lower buy in price.

An excellent example of what the
Street is up to:

ISIP was put through the wringer by
the street earlier this year when they
reported that the company was about to
enter a desperate financing deal known
as a death spiral. Stock was knocked back
right before news on ELAN partnership
and DARPA award, making an excellent trade.
The actual truth was: The company that is
famous for death spiral financing (Promethium
I believe) called ISIP to offer financing.
The company said "uhh no thanks you losers,
Bug Off and don't call again". So, the street
somehow finds out about this (maybe they
requested promethium call) Their agenda:
With confirmation, they could say
"ISIP had talks concerning financing with
the company famous for death spirals".
Message boards go wild and stock drops
creating a short term trade.

For those interested in verifying,
someone posted the story on the ISIP board,
here is the link:

Don't worry guys this is a story full of half
truths designed to knock the stock down before
the big news/IPO and result in: AN EXCELLENT
TRADE. They won't follow it up and they will
not issue a retraction as all the statements
are true. There is nothing illegal about
taking truth out of context. If you didn't sell
on the news, buy when she bottoms as that is what CRAMER
will be doing.

The street is a traders publication. When I saw
the article today, the stock was up 1/4 it later
ticked up to 7/16. Everyone here was asking
what it was, etc.. Had you sold and gone short
you would have posted a tiddy profit today,
cover tomorrow and ride up for IPO. I stayed
long. Oh well.
