What you had was not only large block buys and sells, probably by institutions/large individual investors, but also furious activity by day trader who were flipping their shares all over the place between 18 3/4 and 19, so one person could be responsible for thousands of shares traded. This happens often with low float companies who get in the spotlight and are traded for multiple trips by daytraders
