Teflon,

More on Ben Rose's downgrade of Siebel. In my earlier response to you, I wrote: The real problem I have is that he's likely to downgrade it one day and upgrade it six months later. That's just not my investment style, to waffle back and forth.

I just learned from people who follow analysts' upgrades and downgrades more than I do that Ben Rose's firm (probably meaning Ben Rose) has published changes of opinion about Siebel's stock three times in the last nine months.

Mike, sorry for the dely in getting back to you. My primary responsibilities require me to spend most of my time over on the MSFT Thread, especially when Uncle Frank shows up and spatters his wisdom as the G&K Gatekeeper<<ggg>>.

Anyway, regarding SEBL. I had an allotment of $$$ that I was looking to put into the Market about a month ago, and my two candidates for investment were SEBL and GMST. I chose to go with GMST, yet I still have my eye on the SEBL ball. NEON's announcement concerned me, but it was the SE announcement that bothered me even more. I was at an analysts conference two months back when SE gave a presentation, and their outlook on the Market was very bullish.

I am very surprised by the preannouncements in the EAI Market, and frankly, I am not surprised by the Street taking the hammer to the CRM Market in quick manner. Usually they sell the story that these market segments go hand in hand. You know, the y2k thing...

Having said that, I am waiting for a pull back in SEBL to the $50 level before I jump in. I have done some substantial due diligence in SEBL and I like everything I see. Also, most of what I know about Adams Harkness is bad, and I have little faith in their ability to make an objective, correct Market call.

We shall see. Keep us up to date. I appreciate your feedback on SEBL.
