MSFT buying Zoomit

Well here is Novell today with a proven directory product in its eighth version capable of managing millions of objects in one place.

There is MSFT with it's not yet released first generation undoubtedly bug ridden inefficient flaky directory capable of being glued together with a lot of specialized meta-directory programming with a bunch of databases storing the information all over the various servers that the MSFT directory doesn't know what to do with and that Novell consolidates with NDS in one place.

Which would you use?

I can't wait for the suggested benchmark comparison. A new employee is hired, let's compare how long it takes to give her/him access privileges to the resources needed to begin work via NDS versus using MSFT's (In) Active Directory and Zoomit's metadirectory. I think the comparison should take place with NDS running on NT2000 and should be done on the day MSFT releases NT2000.

The ORCL, IBM, NOVL announcement today was the significant announcement.
