Free Internet Seminar...starts in 1 hour

squawkbox.net

NYBOT and Squawkbox.Net are pleased to present our continuing
Wednesday night interactive audio seminar series on trading.

After three successful weeks featuring John Murphy, we are
excited to have the "Market Pilot" Ron Johnson as our guest tonight.

Ron is both a market analyst and a "personal trading coach" for
many of New York and Chicago's most successful floor traders.

His presentation tonight will focus on the mental and emotional
aspects of profitable trading - "The Four C's in success".

I watched the ones with Murphy and they were informative. Not sure about this one but it is free

Best Regards
KEITH

Bobby,

Please excuse me for butting in. I note you are seeking a course on short term and daytrading. You would do well to check out the very well done course provided by a regular here on the thread.

Take a look at: hardrightedge.com

Alan Farley (Trader Alan) has really done a great job with this course and his entire site is nothing but gems of wisdom.

I'm not associated with him in any way (but I am in the midst of the course as a much needed refresher for my rusty techniques). Priced right, too. Sorry Eric, no more commercials! <G>

Ken

<would you mind commenting on Pristine? I'm considering PDT, etc>

Bobby,

Pristine (www.pristine.com) is an excellent place to advance your stock-trading education - if you search this thread I think I've commented on them a few times. If you're looking for "hot picks" and internet trades, you may be a bit disappointed. Their stock-picking is a little conservative and slanted towards the generally more sensible, less-than-YHOO-volatility type of stocks. They strive to be regular hitters and are ALWAYS positioning themselves to be the profitable aggressors/survivors that take money out of the market almost every day. They won't take big risks. It's a very smart way to trade!

The Pristine Day Trader (or Pristine Lite) is a good value. I saw the value primarily as educational, vs. stock picks so much, although those are good there are cheaper places to get just "picks"... the learns are priceless though and well worth the $. But to really learn from them, you need to take their 1 and 3 day seminars, and get into their Real-Time Room for a while - or, perhaps trade in their room out in White Plains.

I studied their teachings for years (still do) and apply a lot of the principles Pristine preaches (and from many other sources of learning, of course), to trading YHOO, AMZN, INTC, CSCO, ATHM, JNPR, BRCD, etc. You would do yourself a favor by taking their training, following their advice and work slowly into the wilder stocks as you gain what they so aptly call "seasoning". The things you will learn there, are consistent with all of the great market "wisdom" you can find - it is NOT the B.S. material, as many courses/seminars/gurus are.

Good luck, -Steve

Bobby

I subscribed to PDT for about one year and have no affiliation or association with them now. Ditto everything Palo Alto Trader says.

I used them primarily to get a good basic grounding in the art. Their lessons are right on the mark. Their picks give you daily repetitions to strengthen your trading muscles. You know, the ones you need to "jump in" to a trade and the ones you need to "claw your way out" of a trade. :-D
