.....REGARDING "The Sunday Travel section has a special rate for Kama'aina. Grand Wailea is $165.25 per person...includes roundtrip air fare from another island, 2 days car rental. And yes Kama'aina must show a Hawaii drivers license to receive benefits" Now I remember I had this friend check my in at the hotel with his license. Little did I know that for the rest of the week everyone would be calling me his name...Hello Mr Rodgers.....it was the running joke....eventually the workers knew my real name...they could care less if I cheated my way in for a good rate........I bet group prices for all these hotels will be half what is published....just looking at that deal on the Wailia Grande, if you figure 100 bucks for the plane then that was perhaps about 210 a couple with car......you need to figure out how many people are really coming before you can get quotes... I am sure they will ask.... and you need to know about how much people want to spend...good luck not an easy task to figure this out. As for meeting people by face who you have spoken to but not seen.....my biggest and worst blind date in my life was on Maui so this is a bad omen I suppose.
