Question for anyone. Is there a disadvantage to opening a debit call spread 5-7 days prior to expiry as opposed to opening 5-6 weeks to expiry?

opened nov calls in fgi and flc.
think the oil drillers and service should do well with oil over $19.
my imcl call is doing well.
sold a covered call on lwin and hope to keep the stock and the money.
