GCTY did 60 mill. page views per day in Apr. according to their own PR. They were also growing at a rate of 9% per month. This means they should have been at 70 mill. in June. 307 -70 = 237 for less than 1% growth, quit being so nice!
Also, on BCST if you back out the increase in shs. out as the appreciated stock took options in the money, they would have been closer to the estimated -.09. I doubt estimates were adjusted for this as coverage was being dropped. Tim

re: Yes, I am short. And you are blind.

And you, my friend, are standing in front of an onrushing freight train. You are also in great danger of losing your "shorts"

Good luck (you need it)
Ross

Shorts will win...

I imagine most of us are blind to one degree or another. No one here has perfect information. Yes, half of success comes from marketing and has nothing to do with the product. Companies dress themselves just as political leaders do, as do you and I. It's part of the game, it's not right, but it's reality. I honestly don't know what to make of the page views, but I do know this about YHOO: They are riding the extreme edge of technology and business. They are evolving every single day, growing their biz and attacking each new market segment that looks promising (advertising, ecommerce, and now broadcasting - soon music I'd guess).

Do you know why CISC processors are the dominant cpu in PCs today? Is it because they have a superior architecture? Na... Good money was spent on marketing. I suspect Koogle is a fantastic marketer. Couple that with an ok product, and you will do well. Just ask Intel and Microsoft. I don't know about you, but I'd much rather have a SUNW spark running UNIX on my desk. Marketing and ok products puts this piece on my desk instead.

Get over it. Make money. Go with winners.

Stuff it? I sure will Spangle. I'm going to stuff about $50/share in my pocket from you as you finally cover your short somewhere around $230 or so. I just love it. You had a chance to cover today at $167 or even lower. Yet your greed blinded you. You deserve everything that's coming to you. And it's going to be painful. Enjoy it.
