I hope I'm excited in 3 years...I bought heavy at 173 1/8. I was beginning to think it wouldn't retreat.

Dear Chris Van Winkle, I see from your post that excitement is in the eye of the beholder. You realize, of course, you are a really poor target for the MMs when they run the stops. Don't you feel the least bit embarassed about your lack of cooperation in exacerbating the mood swings of Mr. Market? Furthermore, you do have a long term horizon. It was Keynes who stated that in the long run we are all dead, don't you have the least bit of guilt about '3 years'? After all, my man, in the kind of market we are in today 15 minutes is a medium-term holding and anything over an hour is considered long term. You, quite simply, are out of step, how dare you act so rationally, it gives the rest of us such a bad name...... Insincerely, Ray D. Disclosure: I'm long, well into the next decade. ;-))
