Frog 99, RE: VCST. . .Well, of course 7 bucks was the place to buy. As far as their technology. . .I think it is a good idea to provide a way to index video and audio according to time code. I am amazed that they are able to get 30 grand for each encoding system. Heck, I can stripe an audio or video tape with SMPTE time code without leaving home. . . without having to pay 30k to VCST. But I realize that there are many corporations, etc. that are more than willing to cough up the cash for such a convenience. I don't know if there are any competitors and I have not seen the financials, so I cannot give an informed opinion yet. I don't recall the buyout rumors. . . were they the ones with the MSFT rumor?
