I think that many of the new tools and added features are great, but why change the look? The look has a sense of character and I think is ahead of its time.

I tend to agree. SI's strength is its sense of community. The beta site has a more sterile feel.

We do need change...evolutionary change. There have not been many improvements lately. I expected a major improvement in the search capabilities when Go2net added their strengths...a long time coming and now it looks like the emphasis has been on changing the 'look'.

It is a major character change which probably has significant risk. It feels like the improvements have not been focused on the SI community.

It may be a better format but I am not convinced. Many of the suggestions could?/should have been made in the original site format..ie better search..book mark management..better charts..custom colors and formats..navigation options, better spell checker.

This format feels like a 'catch up to the others' format. I think SI is a leader and agree that it should have a distinctive format of its own.

The SI original site does seem a little dated and in need of improvement. IMO it is because there has not been any noticeable change since Go2net took charge.

Brad used to constantly take input from users on ways to improve the site. We grew together.

It has been refreshing to have Bryan take the lead in communicating to the members once again..looking for and accepting the input of users. It is too bad that this effort was not extended in the Classic SI.

A July launch of this format seems a bit premature to me.
