I could say that we are all pigs, but some of us hide it better than others. And others just plain wallow in it. Or I could resort to deconstructing the various possible definitions of the term "pig". I mean, if we're going to be strict about it, none of us are really pigs, unless somebody's hiding his tail. I would incline to believe that all of us do retain at least some vestigial chauvinist piggery, even if only by the strictest definition. Most of us, as you suggest, get over it, though not to the extent that we don't enjoy a good wallow now and then, when we think nobody's looking.
