Having spent too many years trying to be a PC male, I can certainly appreciate the effort it takes them to seem that way. But I suspect that many of them will tire of it, and discover that the old cliches were not entirely fiction, and revert. As many of my generation did, including, to some extent, myself. Maybe I'm more cynical than necessary. And there is of course the issue of defining piggery: when I admit to being a pig I have perhaps a milder version of the subject matter than some. There is a fair bit of middle ground between the archetypal chauvinist pig and the caricatured "new male". Which I think is good, because the former strike me as being boorish oafs and the latter as being two-dimensional poseurs. I would hate to have to fit into one of those categories.
